Etsy On-site vs. Off-site ads
The main difference between Etsy on-site and off-site ads is the following: on-site ads only run on Etsy, while off-site ads run on different search engines, social media platforms, apps, and so on.
For example, if you run a search for a specific product on Etsy, let's say "soy candle", you will see that some listings that appear in your search results are marked with Ad by Etsy seller. This means that the seller runs on-site ads for those particular products, like in the example below:
When it comes to off-site ads, your products will be advertised by Etsy on other websites, social media platforms, and apps. And potential buyers will discover your products there, instead of the classic way, by running a search on Etsy.com.
